Ethnography

Learn how to use a design ethnographic approach to gain a deep understanding of customers through observation, conversation, and co-creation.

Techniques for Systems
Thinking

Plan research using a systems thinking and mapping approach. Use a variety of relationship maps to gain a better understanding of your customers’ needs and the gaps in the market.

Visioning for the ideal state

Participants will learn how to formalize findings from research and mapping and distill the information into a set of prioritized and actionable recommendations

Design & Development

Learn how to plan and run team ideation sessions that enable your staff to bring ideas and insights to life.

FACULTY

JOHN BRUCE is an Associate Professor of strategic design and management at The New School’s Parsons School of Design. John’s work as a designer, media maker, and strategist involves ethnography and systems thinking and is dedicated to creating positive economic and social impact. John is a senior strategist at Forward Mapworks and a founder of the Brooklyn, New York–based design and architecture firm Super-Interesting!
